A to Z Tiling and Waterproofing screeds floors across Sydney, from sand and cement beds and self-levelling compounds to substrate repairs and falls to drain. Get the screed right and everything laid on top of it stays flat, drains properly and lasts.
Almost every complaint about a finished floor starts underneath it. These are the screeding and preparation problems Sydney homeowners and builders call us about.
Slabs are rarely flat. Lay tiles straight onto a dished or humped floor and you get lippage, rocking tiles and edges you can feel underfoot.
How we fix itWe check the whole floor with a laser and screed it to a true plane before a single tile is set.
A weak or badly bonded mix breaks up under load. Once the bed lets go, the tiles above it crack, drum and lift.
How we fix itPrimed substrate, correctly gauged mixes and compacted beds, bonded so the screed and slab work as one.
Wet areas, laundries and balconies with no fall leave standing water, slippery surfaces and constant pressure on the waterproofing.
How we fix itScreeded falls set to every outlet, then water tested before waterproofing and tiling.
Ripped up tiles leave ridges of old adhesive, chipped concrete and soft patches that no amount of extra glue will hide.
How we fix itGrinding, dust extraction and substrate repairs first, so the screed goes onto sound, clean material.
Renovations change floor build ups. Without planning you end up with steps at thresholds, doors that foul and trims that never look right.
How we fix itWe set finished floor levels first and screed to them, so thresholds, doors and transitions all line up.
Screeding gets squeezed between trades, rushed or left to cure too little, and the whole program slips while the tiler stands around.
How we fix itOne team screeds, waterproofs and tiles, with realistic cure times built into a committed schedule.

Traditional bonded sand and cement beds for bathrooms, laundries, balconies and whole floors, screeded to level or to fall and finished ready for tiling.

Pumpable self-levelling compounds for large or badly out of level floors, giving a smooth flat surface for tiles, vinyl, timber or carpet.

Grinding, adhesive removal, crack and hole repairs, priming and moisture checks so the screed bonds to sound, clean substrate.

Screeds set out to your finished floor levels during renovations, matching thresholds, doorways and adjoining rooms across timber and concrete floors.

Shower bases, wet room floors, laundries and balconies screeded to correct falls so water reaches the waste instead of sitting on the surface.
We measure the existing floor across its full span, set datum levels and screed to a true plane, so the finished surface is flat where it matters.
Drain positions, thresholds and door openings are all planned first, so water runs to the waste and nothing ponds against a doorway.
The people preparing your floor are the people tiling it, so the screed suits the membrane and tile system instead of fighting them.
We give realistic drying and cure times up front rather than rushing tiles onto green screed, and back the work with a 6 year workmanship guarantee.
We measure levels across the floor, check the substrate and drain positions, and confirm the finished floor height you need.
An itemised quote covering preparation, screed type, thickness, falls and cure time, with no surprises once we start.
Grinding, repairs and priming first, then the screed laid, compacted and finished to level or to fall.
Levels and falls rechecked, cure time allowed, then the floor handed over ready for waterproofing or tiling.
We screed floors for homeowners, renovators and builders right across the Sydney metropolitan area, from single bathrooms to full floor levels.

EntryA screed is a levelling layer laid over a slab or timber floor before the final finish. Most floors are not flat or do not have the fall they need, so a screed is what gives tiles, vinyl or timber a true surface to sit on.
Sand and cement screeds are trowel applied, can be built up thicker and are ideal for creating falls to a drain. Self-levelling compounds are poured and flow out to a very flat finish, best for correcting out of level floors before tiling or sheet flooring.
It depends on thickness, product and site conditions. Self-levelling compounds are often ready for tiling within 24 to 48 hours, while thicker sand and cement screeds usually need several days. We confirm cure times in your quote so your program is realistic.
Often yes. Sound tiles can be prepared and primed, and timber floors can be screeded with the right system and reinforcement. We check the substrate first and tell you when removal is the better option.
Yes. Falls to drain are a core part of our screeding work. We set the screed so water runs to the waste, then water test before waterproofing and tiling.
