A to Z Tiling and Waterproofing installs fully compliant waterproofing membranes for bathrooms, laundries, and wet areas across Sydney, protecting your property from water damage that is expensive to reverse and hard to spot until it becomes serious.
Almost every leak we get called out to could have been avoided. These are the problems Sydney homeowners live with when waterproofing is rushed, skipped, or done by someone who was never coming back.
Thin coats, missed corners and nothing sealed around the floor waste. It all looks fine once the tiles are on, then it fails within a couple of wet seasons.
How we fix itPrimed substrate, full coats to specification, and every corner, hob and penetration detailed.
By the time you see the mark, water has been tracking through framing and plasterboard for months, and the repair is no longer just a bathroom.
How we fix itCompliant membranes with correct upturns, then water tested before a tile goes down.
Musty air, black spotting in the silicone and grout that stays dark all mean moisture is sitting somewhere it should never have reached.
How we fix itCorrect falls, sealed junctions, and grout and sealants matched to the wet area.
No fall to the waste leaves standing water, slippery floors and constant pressure on the weakest point of the waterproofing.
How we fix itScreed and falls set to the drain, then checked with water before tiling.
The waterproofer blames the tiler, the tiler blames the builder, and you are the one chasing phone calls while the damage spreads.
How we fix itOne team waterproofs and tiles, with photos of every stage, so accountability sits with us.
Failed waterproofing cannot be patched from the surface. Tiles come off, the room is out of action, and you pay for the same job twice.
How we fix itDone correctly the first time and backed by a written 6 year workmanship guarantee.

Full membrane systems for showers, bathroom floors and walls, installed to AS 3740 before any tiling begins.

Waterproofing for laundries and internal wet areas exposed to overflow, spillage and appliance leaks.

Corner and hob detailing, angle fillets and membrane upturns, exactly where leaks most commonly start.

Waterproofing scoped and installed as part of a renovation or new build, sequenced around your builder and trades.

Diagnosis of failed membranes and full remediation, including tile removal where needed, so the area is waterproofed properly again.

Work carried out and documented to AS 3740, supporting certificate of compliance requirements where applicable.
Every wet area is installed to the current Australian Standard for waterproofing of domestic wet areas, not to whatever is quickest on the day.
No handover between trades. The crew that waterproofs also tiles, so sequencing, falls and detailing are never compromised.
Membrane application is documented at every stage, so you have proof of what sits under your tiles if you ever need it.
We let the membrane cure fully before tiling. It is the most common corner cut in the trade, and the one that causes the most damage.
We assess the wet area and confirm scope, membrane system, and a fixed quote.
The substrate is cleaned, primed, and prepared to manufacturer and AS 3740 specifications.
Membrane is applied to floors, walls, hobs, and penetrations, with the correct fall to the drain.
The membrane cures fully before tiling proceeds, and documentation is provided.
We waterproof homes, apartments and commercial wet areas right across the Sydney metropolitan area, from the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs to Western Sydney, the North Shore and the Hills.

ShowerAS 3740 is the Australian Standard covering waterproofing of domestic wet areas. It sets minimum requirements for membrane coverage, falls, and detailing. Waterproofing that doesn't meet this standard can void insurance claims and cause costly failures.
Warning signs include stains on ceilings below the bathroom, a musty smell, soft or discoloured flooring near the shower, or visible movement in grout and sealant.
Curing times depend on the membrane system and site conditions, typically 24 to 48 hours before tiling can begin. We factor this into your project timeline from the outset.
Depending on your council and the scope of work, a certificate of compliance for waterproofing may be required, particularly for bathroom renovations and new builds. We can advise what applies to your project.
All waterproofing work is covered by our 6 year workmanship warranty. If an issue relates to our installation within the warranty period, we assess and remediate it.
